I'm heading overseas in a few weeks for my brothers wedding, so I shouldn't be spending money, but the oroton sales are a little hard to resist. Given that their bags are priced almost as much as Louis Vuitton, I decided to buy something small. I chose one of the soft orange/tan purses. I thought I could use it overseas. Yeap overseas.
I'm a girlie girl who loves makeup, fashion and beauty products.Oh and cupcakes!

Recent purchases
So I was in Myer (Australian department store) checking out the new Mac collection 'Hey Sailor' but after having a closer look I wasn't entirely thrilled about anything in the collection. Although I may go back for the bronzer. Well one of them anyway. On my way out I stopped and started flipping through the face charts and spotted a look that I really liked. It was a grey matte smokey eye, with a pink/ peach blush and angel lipstick. I loved it!! I wanted to take a picture, but how???The makeup artist had applied a darker foundation on the face (very yellow) so I thought "Great I can wear this look overseas!!" or tomorrow.
I decided to purchase the entire look: copperplate, gesso, quarry, e/shadow; and the blush. Although the blush the artist used was peach something or rather (i have to go back and find out) I decided to go with sunbasque.
Here's a quick pic:

Recent purchases
-Nars blush palette: This palette has six beautiful shades, including the famous orgasm, but I haven't tried it just yet. It looked so nice in the store.
So I thought why not, lets spend the bonus...
earlier??!
I went to Chanel for the purpose of buying the peachy color....
But I ended up with this beautiful light pink.
-Hourglass tinted moisturizer:
Now when I brought this i was not in the market for foundation. But I had thought I'd try it out first and if I liked it I would ask for a sample, and return for purchase. But Nooo, I couldn't contain myself. This may be advertised as a tinted moisturizer but it covers flawlessly. I was so impressed I had to have it. ( lately I've been fake tanning so I haven't had a chance to use it, but soon my pretty!!)-Terry concealer, eye brightener:
Another jem!
Terry is a makeup artist, who used to work for Yves Saint Laurent. Terry was the one who brought out / designed the Touche eclair eye brightener. I used to use this all the time. Again I haven't had a chance to use this( fake tanning) just yet.
What have you brought lately? Or what are you lemming?

Beauty Try Out - Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher
Lately my pores have been looking so enlarged. At one point they were all I could see in the mirror. I started looking at other peoples faces when they spoke to me and wondered what they used on their faces. I also noticed that a friend of mine, who happens to be a male, had no pores whats so ever. Nothing! Nada. I was surprised. No pores?... hmm. At the time of this conversation I had even tried zooming in at hes face to see if there were any enlarged pores or any pores all together, but he shooed me away. Apparently he only uses nivea.
I later thought what have i been doing or not doing, to have these giant pores.
So i thought i would try out a new product, to see if i could reduce the appearance of my pores with out over exfoliating my face. I remembered that Estee Lauder had a product, the Idealist Pore minimizing skin refinisher. I brought a bottle yesterday and am going to start using it as of tomorrow. Little late today as its now late afternoon and as per the instructions use AM and before moisturizer.
Well lets see how I go. I will keep you posted.
Has anyone tried this? Did it reduce the appearance of your pores?

Style inspiration for the Buxom beauty
Being a buxom beauty myself, I thought I'd post some beautiful pics of Christina Hendricks! (Yes i like her, even though she is a red head). Could it be, that the tiny actresses on television are no longer so tiny?
Got to get me some leather pants!

LOOK OF THE OSCARS 2010-My Favourites

Jennifer Lopez and Amanda Seyfried.
Blue was big this year, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Mariah Carey, wore the best blue dresses of the evening.

Carey Mulligan, one of the few black gowns of the evening.

Sandra Bullock, I actually like the back of the dress more than the front.
Not sure of the pink lipstick though.

Demi Moore.

Sarah Jessica Parker. May not be the best gown she's ever worn to an award ceremony, but I like the uniqueness of it.
My favorite look of the evening: Miley Cyrus and her champagne colored dress, long earrings and vixen nail polish.

We wont mention her posture and how all the mags are going to mention how bad it was......
And the best dressed males of the evening are :
Tom Ford, Ryan Renolds (reminds me of James Bond) and bottom, Jake Gyllenhaal.

& a special mention to the always Very Sexy Gerard Butler.

The hair this year was tied up and in a bun.
My favorite make looks included:

Jennifer Lopez, a soft pastel look with a nude lip and Miley Cyrus a sexy smouldering eye and pale pink glossy lip.
Below, Nicole Richie, with her winged eyeliner very 70's. She reminds me of Cher for some reason...

What were your favourite looks of the evening?
